Wackes demonstrates its commitment as an industry leader in sustainability and quality by adding a new role: Sustainability Manager. This is the next step in its delivery of value-creating branded merchandise with the least environmental impact.
“It calls for ambition, understanding, and a holistic approach to everything from design and trends to manufacturing and logistics, to ensure that purchasing meets the highest, most sustainable environmental standards and is in line with our social responsibility policy,” says Elin Axelsson, who as Sustainability Manager is looking forward to bringing her experience from the international fashion industry to Wackes’s customers.
Elin Axelsson has long experience of quality and risk management for international brands in the fashion industry—an industry that in many ways has been forced to lead the way in corporate social and environmental responsibility. ‘It’s about ensuring that processes and routines comply with legislation, regulations, and standards,’ says Elin Axelsson about Wackes’s clear ambition to challenge the promotional products industry and lead the way in responsible production.

It is just as important for a company to hand out promotional safety reflectors that are tested and meet all safety standards, or for its employees to wear company logo T-shirts made without hazardous chemicals, as it is for the factory to take responsibility for its environmental emissions and workers social rights.
